From the Insight Out

Looking for Something Different?

As Alois Podjahsky stated, “Equestrian art, perhaps more than any other, is closely related to the wisdom of life”.  I have found this to be classically true in my life.  The better that my riding is going, the better the rest of my life is going.  As an educational “junkie”, one of the things I like to do best is learn about topics related to my two biggest loves: horses and self-growth and see how they fit together.  The more I learned about myself, the more insight I had into my riding and relationships with my horses.  This realization has seeped into all of the work I do with people and horses.  We work as a team to bridge the gap from where you are now, to where you want to be—with your horse, as well as with life in general.

Our core beliefs about who we are and what we can do greatly affect our work with our horses.  Examining some of these assumptions can give us the choice to keep subscribing, or to change what we believe about ourselves.  Awareness truly is the first step.

Because our minds and bodies are deeply connected, what we’re thinking manifests in our bodies.  Letting horses reflect back to us what we’re physically saying can be very revealing and enlightening.  Specialized riding (or groundwork) lessons can help integrate mind and body and lead to living a life you love better.
