Kimberly Cardeccia is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been involved with horses for 30 years. She also has 10 years of teaching experience in public schools, focusing on elementary physical education. Her expertise in the study of kinesiology gives her a unique perspective from which to address rider’s block and other obstacles in training. She combines her professional skills as a licensed counselor and physical education teacher with her passion for horses in order to help individuals reach their full potential as a rider and as a person.
With a unique style of compassionate guidance, Kim emphasizes communication and safety-both physical and emotional- in her work with people and horses. She has carved a niche for herself as an Intuitive Riding Instructor, and helps her students to tap into their own intuition to better reach their goals.
Her training areas of specialty are riders overcoming fears and anxieties, and adult beginners who want to use their riding to get the most out of life. She also specializes in Equine Assisted Learning and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
Dr. Mary Cardeccia is currently practicing small animal medicine and surgery, and Small Animal and Equine acupuncture. She attended Michigan State University, where she received her BS in Animal Sciences in 1991 and her DVM with honors in 1995. Since graduation some of her continuing education pursuits include obtaining certification in Advanced Avian Medicine and Surgery through the North American Veterinary Post-Graduate Institute as well as holding a certification as a Pet Loss Bereavement counselor. Now practicing Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Mary is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, Certified Veterinary Food Therapist, and is currently enrolled in a Veterinary Herbology Certification program. She is a second degree Reiki practitioner and has been using Reiki with her patients for 4 years. Dr. Mary is committed to providing compassionate integrative veterinary care based on the needs of her patients and the beliefs of their human families.
Mellissa became a student of Kim’s when she decided to try something new after her 30th birthday and fell in love with Kim’s style of coaching. She has been connecting with horses in different ways (lessons, training, etc.) for four years and says being around horses has helped her be more aware of herself and connect with people. You can find Mellissa supporting Hidden Promise behind a camera, at trade shows, through web design and anywhere else Hidden Promise can use her!
“I have experienced deep change within myself since taking lessons at Hidden Promise. Kim’s guidance has changed the course of my life and I encourage everyone to experience her work. I just thank Kim so much for sharing her animals and her wisdom.”
